SHANTANU & NIKHIL – this designer duo has always had a lasting impact on us to say the least. From their classic cuts to their progressive designs and sharp eclectic elegance – their distinct style has always influenced the way people dress, and the way new designers approach their work.

The duo has helped shape the ever-evolving women’s wear landscape for the better part for more than a decade with their imaginative, boundary-design philosophies, sharp tailoring and classic silhouettes.

Coming to their latest fall/winter season collection “The Regiment” – it constructs a couture range brimming with androgyny by passing a strong message of Pride Togetherness and Discipline.

While watching the show I felt a certain sense of pride and I say that because my grandfather was in the Sikh Regiment which at one stage was  one of the highest decorated regiments in the British Empire. Hence when I saw the Sikh models walking down the Runway it gave me immense pride and joy watching it all come alive so beautifully.

The show was definitely a reflective of the paradigm shift in the fashion industry. Whether it may be paying homage to members of the armed forces or breaking the stereotype with Sikh models gracing the runway or promoting gender equality by using similar silhouettes for men and women. Shantanu & Nikhil succeeded in creating an impactful seasonal lineup hitting everything from Military inspired design elements with Swarovski crystals to contemporary cuts and feminine silhouettes.

They managed to to weave their magic with an Autumn Winter collection that was so strong yet so inspiring.
