So you thought that you can make fashion blunders and pass off quietly. No, think again. Mommy is watching you.

Watch out for these biggest fashion faux pas’.

> Loud socks bleeding out of sandals

Okay so keep all those colours and stripes for your clothes. Keep it plain and stick to one colour socks while wearing sandals. If you still want to wear them, hide them under the shoes.

> Kiddie hair clips

Girls seriously, grow up! Buy hair clips that suit your age and don’t steal from your lil ones drawers.

> Chipped nail paint

Did somebody say acetone. Make judicious use of one the moment your nail paint begins to chip.

Save the Best for the Last

I have to admit that I have been in awe of Ritu Kumar’s creativity for eons, her style is absolutely timeless and classic. So when it came to the Grand Finale there could have been no one better than her to close the “5 Day Fashion Extravaganza” WIFW at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi !!!!

Jive up on the Runway !!

She did set the runway ablaze with beautiful jive dancers and the models walking up the ramp on old melodies like Mera naam chin chin choo, Babuji dheere chalna and Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si. TRUST ME, one had to see it to believe it !!!!

The opening sequence exuded chic glamour, romanticism and wit from the young Indo- western line by LABEL. Amrish Kumar’s style quotient was reflected through the blazing colors, rich deep inks, bold and elegant lines.

And that was LABEL..

On the other hand, second half of the show was a reflection of the classical Ritu Kumar designs. It was an ode to the signature prints synonymous with the brand. It carried forward the vintage mood of the previous segment but in its Indian avatar. The geometric motifs form graceful curvilinear feminine lines of paisleys to chintzes in luxurious colors and not to forget her USP aari- taari.

The Feel of the collection altogether was just REGAL..

ESHA GUPTA being the show-stopper was quite a pleasant surprise!!
