L’Occitane is a brand we  have always been fond of.  Their hand creams are beautifully indulgent, while their almond shower oil is a staple in the bathroom and as far as our all time favorite range is concerned it has to be “Verbena“.

So recently when L’Occitane invited us  for a personal event hosted by Grazia India  at Kylin Skybar we just couldn’t resist!!!

Sundowner Shenanigans with L’Occitane

The event was co-hosted by the fashionable sis duo Zoya and Ziya singh , graced by the presence of L’Occitane enthusiasts like Anupama Dayal , Sonal Bhatia and the wonderful  Grazia India team.

Summer is the time you like to flaunt your feet in those pretty flip-flops. But are your feet actually “FLAUNT READY”?

Dead skin, fungal infections, bad odour, cracked heels, etc are some of the problems one faces this season. We often neglect caring for our feet and the result is for everyone to see.

SC brings you a simple 3 step foot care regimen:

1) Cleanse: Wash your feet properly while bathing in the morning and in the evening before going to bed. Soak them in warm water for 10-15 min to get rid of all the dirt. You can add salts/oils for a more relaxing experience.

2) Exfoliate: The dead skin needs to be removed on a regular basis by way of scrapping it off with a pumice stone. A foot scrub should also be used once a week.

3) Moisturize: This is important to keep your feet soft and supple and prevent loss of moisture. A special foot cream or a general body lotion should be used daily for the same purpose. Shea butter and coconut oil work wonders for the feet.

A particularly useful product that we came across while scanning the market is the The Nature’s Co LEMONGRASS FOOT SPRAY. With ingredients such as lemongrass, patchouli and tea tree oils, this spray instantly energizes tired feet and leaves behind a fresh smell.

Priced at Rs 495, we suggest using this spray for odour and bacteria free feet!

We know that pulling your hair back and making a bun during summers can be boring  but by just adding a little twist to your high bun can make it all the way edgy!!!

Want to know how? HERE YOU GO!!

4 Easy steps to achieve the Upside-Down French Braid Bun.

Step 1:

Flip your hair over and brush out all your hair. French braid your hair while it is still flipped over so that it is “upside down” Once you braid to the height you want your bun at, secure with a small elastic.

Step 2:

Gather all of your hair and secure with a bigger elastic right over the small one. You can flip your hair back to normal now.

Step 3:

Now just make a bun from the hair you just put into a pony tail and secure with an elastic or bobby pins.

Step 4:

Make sure it looks right, then spray with hairspray and enjoy your upside-down braided bun.

Our beauty regimen encompasses all important parts of our body but one- lips. We often tend to ignore the importance of lip care. Today we bring to you some simple tips for you to put your best put forward!!

The crux of a lip care regimen lies in maintaining the moisture. Lips loose moisture much more easily in winters due to dry elements present in the air. As a result, your lips get chapped.

Keep the following things in mind:

1) Don’t lick your lips: We say that as a thumb rule. After the evaporation of the saliva, lips further dehydrate. They even develop cracks. Peeling this off can lead to bleeding and subsequent bleeding.

2) Use a good lip balm: A good lip balm is a must have to keep your lips hydrated and moisturized. What it does is to create a protective shield for your lips. Avoid picking a balm which is too waxy and sticky. Also, go for a balm which provides some protection from sun with it’s SPF content.

3) Home Care Remedies: Granny is always right when she asks you to put malai/ghee on your lips. Leave it over night and it works wonders. Mixing portions of glycerin with rose water and applying it regularly is also a quick home fix.

4) Exfoliation: This is an important process to remove all the dead skin/cells. It leaves lips moist and plump. Sugar mixed with olive oil can be gently massaged onto the lips for srubbing.
