Dutch Fashion, Now in India.
Last night Sunil Sethi along with Alphonsus Stoelinga (ambassador of Netherlands to India) marked the onset of Indo – Dutch Fashion collaboration at the Netherlands Embassy.
Dutch Fashion Here and Now in India (DFH&NI) is a three-year programme which has been designed by The Dutch government and FDCI. It shall provide an opportunity to network with their Indian counterparts leading to collaboration between designers, fashion photographers and people from the denim industry. (FYI Amsterdam is one of the denim capitals of the world and India has the highest number of denim manufacturers)
Just to give you a deeper insight, Suneet Varma and Dutch couturier Taminiau will work together to bring out a collection that will have an eclectic mix of Dutch-India combo. On the other hand the other designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna would be teaming up with DIED, (silk and jewellery label set up by Diederik Verbakel and Marieke Holthuis ) to set the runway ablaze,
So get set go all you Style Coquettes as both designer couples will showcase the first look of their collaboration at the Wills India Fashion Week (WIFW) on 6 October, tomorrow.
